Sightseeing cruises on the Morava River are most often associated with the famous Baťa Canal. Yet it would take just a small step for Kroměříž to become the final destination of this popular tourist route. Work is already underway on a navigation lock in Bělov, the last barrier preventing boats from reaching the “Haná Athens”.
That said, the Morava is already navigable in Kroměříž. In fact, every year the twelve-passenger boat Bruno sets out from here, taking visitors along the lesser-known middle stretch of the Morava, offering views of floodplain forests, fields, and the beautiful Moravian landscape. Especially in the heat of summer, it’s a refreshing alternative to walking through the historic town centre or cycling.
Regular cruises lasting approximately two hours follow a round trip route between Kroměříž and Kvasice, operating from June to September. Outside regular sailings, it is also possible to book a private trip for a group of friends or for a family celebration.
