1st FARMHOUSE BREWERY

The foundation of success undoubtedly lies in excellent beer that attracts a wide circle of enthusiasts – a goal shared by all brewers. However, we also wanted to create something more: a value that would bring joy to the public and add aesthetic charm to the surroundings. That value is the brewery building itself. During the planning stage, we turned to the renowned architectural studio Ellement, and the result of our collaboration is a truly original structure.

Our goal was to combine visual appeal with functional design – creating a building that is both architecturally attractive for visitors and a pleasant workspace for all of us who work here.

The building of the 1st Farmhouse Brewery, although new and modern, evokes the atmosphere of traditional brewing. The staircase is integrated into a “chimney” structure, with brick as the dominant material. Despite its functional nature, the brewery—thanks to a number of unconventional design elements—has become a remarkable building that we hope guests will enjoy visiting, even though it stands at the edge of town.

Yet the journey to our somewhat remote, but beautiful corner of Kroměříž is well worth it. As a reward, you’ll enjoy an in-depth brewery tour and a tasting of all the beers we brew. You can relax in the courtyard or on the terrace, on the first floor next to the brewhouse, or even on the rooftop, which offers a charming view of Kroměříž with the Hostýn Hills in the background.

The brewery is called “farmhouse” because it is part of our agricultural estate. Brewing is inherently tied to farming, as its two key ingredients – barley malt and hops – come directly from agricultural production. We brew mostly with local ingredients, sourcing the majority of our Czech hops from Prosenice and malt from Záhlinice.
