SWEET TEMPTATION OF ORIGINAL KROMĚŘÍŽ CHOCOLATE

Are you one of those who can’t resist the aroma and taste of fresh chocolate? Then you shouldn’t miss Jánská Street in Kroměříž, home to Yesterka Chocolate Shop. A modest entrance hides treasures that no lover of sweet indulgence can ignore. While chocolate arrived in Europe via the Spanish as early as the 16th century, Kroměříž has had its own chocolate shop since 2015, thanks to Ms Tereza Zubíková, who began handcrafting premium pralines here. Thanks to honest, small-scale production and carefully chosen techniques, the pralines are beautifully glossy and crisp. “Combined with high-quality moulds and precision craftsmanship, they have a thin shell. We then fill them with a wide variety of ganaches — fillings that we make ourselves. We blend the flavours and aromas of herbs, fruits, and spices from around the world with top-quality Callebaut chocolate, guaranteeing a unique taste,” says the owner, who proudly adds that no preservatives, flavour enhancers, or colourings are used in her ganaches. So next time you’re craving an original, fresh praline, head just off the Main Square to Jánská Street and treat yourself.
