STOLPERSTEINE AT 8 VRCHLICKÉHO STREET

Another four Stolpersteine commemorate the fate of the Herz family, who lived on Vrchlického Street. Otto Herz was murdered in 1940 in Buchenwald, and his sisters Greta, Anna, and Olga in 1942 in Maly Trostenets. Greta Friedová (née Herzová) ran a popular tailoring salon, Anna managed the accounts, and Olga took care of the household. Otto Herz was an active participant in the town’s social life, acted in amateur theatre, and helped organise summer camps for the poor and unemployed.
