Traditional carnival celebrations will enliven Hanácké Square in Kroměříž on Saturday, January 31, 2026. The all-day fair will offer a varied program full of folk traditions, masks, music, and carnival specialties. Visitors can look forward to a parade with a bear, competitions, a program for children, and live cimbalom music.
Come and experience local folklore, taste traditional delicacies, and enjoy a day full of good cheer in the historic city center.

CARNIVAL PARADE begins – anyone who arrives at 9:00 a.m. in a mask at SVČ Šipka can join the parade.

Arrival of the CARNIVAL PARADE with a bear at Hanácké náměstí.

Dance with the bear and greetings from representatives of the city of Kroměříž.

Hanging Hat Collection – a competition for meat lovers.
2:30–3:30 p.m.
Masquerade on skates – competitions on ice for children in masks and without

Carnival fair
The program at Hanácké náměstí will be followed by FOOD FILM FEST (a combination of gastronomy and cinematography at the Nadsklepí cinema) starting at 5:30 p.m.
