The Music in the Gardens and Chateau Festival is one of Kroměříž’s most important cultural events, bringing top-class classical music by leading artists from the Czech Republic and abroad to the beautiful historic settings of the chateau, gardens, and churches each year. In 2025, the festival celebrates its 26th year and will once again offer a varied programme from Baroque and Romanticism to opera concerts.

🎭 Opening Concert – A Midsummer Night’s Dream
🗓️ Tuesday, 10 June, 7:00 p.m. – Assembly Hall of the Archbishop’s Chateau
Music by Felix Mendelssohn after Shakespeare – a gala concert commemorating the 330th anniversary of the death of Bishop Karel of Lichtenstein-Castelcorn.
👨👩👧 A Concert Like a Fairy Tale
🗓️ Wednesday, 18 June, 6:00 p.m. – Flower Garden Greenhouse
A musical selection of fairy-tale melodies for children and adults alike.
🎻 An Evening of Viennese Masters
🗓️ Thursday, 26 June, 7:00 p.m. – Assembly Hall
Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven performed by violinist Ziyu He and the Brno Philharmonic.
🏛️ Pearls of Baroque Music in Kroměříž
🗓️ Wednesday, 2 July, 7:00 p.m. – Church of St. Maurice
Works from the unique chateau music archive performed by the Musica Florea ensemble.
🌹 Carmen – Concert Performance of the Opera
🗓️ Tuesday, 8 July, 7:00 p.m. – Flower Garden Greenhouse
Bizet’s famous opera performed in celebration of the 350th anniversary of the Flower Garden.
🌍 Closing Concert of the International Conductors’ Courses
🗓️ Sunday, 20 July, 7:00 p.m. – Assembly Hall
Mozart, Stravinsky, and Tchaikovsky performed by young conductors from around the world.
