Today, the 150 x 60 metre area has the form of a city park, where people can relax, cool off by the sidewalk fountain, or make their wait more pleasant, as bus stops adjoin the park. For children, there is a well-equipped playground with play elements.

In the past, however, the site looked completely different. Until 1923, it served as the town cemetery, still commemorated by a tall stone cross from the 18th century. After it was closed, the remains of the deceased were moved to the cemetery on Velehradská Street and the site was landscaped. Another point of interest in the park is the stone sculpture of St John of Nepomuk, a valuable late Baroque work from 1763.
