GOOD NIGHT, KROMĚŘÍŽ
Every Friday and Saturday during the summer holidays, a pair of watchmen with trumpets, accompanied by a soldier from the bishop’s guard, walk through the town centre. By blowing their trumpets, the musicians symbolically announce the beginning of night quiet hours. Their tour of the town always starts at 21.40 with a fanfare from the town hall balcony. From there, they patrol the main square Velké náměstí and after approximately twenty minutes they return to the town hall. Just before 22.00, they say good night with a piece from the Archbishop Chateau music archive.
