Parking spaces and areas are an important service primarily for visitors to the town, but of course also to the locals. Outdoor parking spaces are available in the town centre in the immediate vicinity of some monuments, in the area of the much-visited Kroměříž Exhibition Centre (Výstaviště Kroměříž), and on the parking lots near the shopping centres and grocery stores.

A multistorey car park in Velehradská street is now available to drivers. The advantage is the possibility of parking in the immediate vicinity of the town centre (and the most significant sights) as well as a favourable parking fee.

Parking Garage

The four-storey parking garage with non-stop traffic is entered from Velehradská street. Its capacity is 137 spaces, of which six spaces are reserved for the disabled. When entering the parking garage, pick up a card from the machine. On your way back to your car, pay at the payment point machine (by cash, by card, or contactless). The first 30 min are free, each additional hour costs CZK 10, the maximum fee per day is CZK 50. Parking is free at night (from 22.00 to 6.00).

Paid parking in the town centre

Paid parking lots are available in the main square Velké náměstí and in the squares: Riegrovo náměstí, Komenského náměstí and Masarykovo náměstí. You can also park in the nearby streets: Pilařova, Moravcova, Jánská, Malý val, Vejvanovského, Chropyňská, Gen. Svobody (near the Flower Garden) or near the Hospital in Albertova street.

Parking fee varies according to the parking zone. Highest parking fee is in zone 1 (in the main square Velké náměstí) and it is CZK 50 per hour. You can pay at the payment machine on the spot or via the MPLA mobile application. To pay via the MPLA system, scan the QR code displayed on all payment machines or download the app directly to your smartphone (the app can also be used to pay parking fees in some other cities in the Czech Republic, including Prague, Brno, Olomouc, or Zlín). For successful payment follow the on-screen instructions.

Other parking possibilities

Parking is also possible – under certain conditions – on the parking lots in front of the shopping centres, grocery stores, sport and cultural facilities, in the area of the Kroměříž Exhibition Centre (Výstaviště Kroměříž) (during exhibitions, markets, exchanges, cultural and social events).
